๐Ÿค–AI Explorers journey

Curious about AI? Explore it together, safely

Find out what AI is (and isn't), teach a computer with examples, spot its mistakes and fakes, and make things with it. Every step is done with a grown-up, so you learn how it works together and set the rules as a family.

You need
A computer or tablet with a grown-up's account; free kid-friendly tools like Teachable Machine work well

Who it's for

  • โœ” Your child has heard about AI and keeps asking questions
  • โœ” You want them to understand it before they meet it alone
  • โœ” You'd like a shared way to talk about fakes, privacy and honesty
  • โœ” Older kids who like coding and want a real project

Heads up: Not for kids using AI on their own. Many AI tools have minimum ages (often 13+), so use them on a grown-up's account and check each tool's terms.

What you'll get

  • ๐ŸŒŸ A simple, accurate idea of what AI is and how it learns from examples
  • ๐ŸŒŸ A model they trained themselves, and why fair examples matter
  • ๐ŸŒŸ The habit of checking AI answers and spotting AI-made pictures or voices
  • ๐ŸŒŸ A mini project that uses AI inside their own game or app

The fun part: together

  • ๐Ÿค Play โ€œhuman robotโ€ sorting games before touching any tool
  • ๐Ÿค Ask a chatbot questions side by side and fact-check the answers
  • ๐Ÿค Make a โ€œreal or AI?โ€ quiz for each other

    Questions parents ask

Is it safe for kids to use chatbots? ๏ผ‹

Only with a grown-up and on a grown-up's account. Check each tool's age limit and keep personal details out of it.

Will this encourage them to let AI do their homework? ๏ผ‹

It does the opposite: it treats AI as a helper you check, and asks kids to say when AI helped.

I don't understand AI myself. Can I still guide this? ๏ผ‹

Yes. The early stages are unplugged games. The AI for Grown-ups journey is there if you want to go further.
